2011Glam!
As part of my recent trip, I had my very first professional makeover, packaged together with my first ever pro photo session.
I slipped one of the photos into a recent post without any fanfare, but I really think this experience deserves its own special attention.
The end result of the makeover was more makeup than I usually wear, false eye-lashes which I rarely wear, and a much more “done” look than I tend to go for.
Part of that was that the makeup was done specifically for the photos, but I realize that I have been lazy about makeup for a long time. I pride myself on the fact that I can be ready – from the shower door to the front door – in about 30 minutes – surely an advantage, but there are other considerations.
I resolved, then and there, to improve my makeup skills – and more to the point, my patience – so that I could do a glam look if and when I wanted.
I was encouraged enough to try my hand at it in Las Vegas, and encouraged still more by the positive reviews my efforts received. You can judge for yourself by looking at the shot above.
As to those pro shots, I will post a few of them next time. I trust you will forgive my being just a bit of a tease… tee-hee!

The person who did your makeover, was her name by any chance Stephanie?

Angel, I have heard a lot about Stephanie, but no. Her name was Alice.

Your makeup artist did a super job.

What a coincidence Janie. I had a professional makeover today too as well as a fill and new color for my acrylic nails. I’ll be posting the pictures on Facebook. Fun day. Took myself to a local bar and grill and then to a neighbor’s house. I try to be humble, timid and modest (BS) but somehow seem to liven up the party. What’s a girl to do? Let me don my blonde wig, start chewing gum then look wide eyed and unknowing and say, “I don’t get it.” Duh. Stereotypical nonsense of course but the picture tickles me. It’s 11:30 PM and I’ve been all fluffed up all day and I’m reluctant to take it all off. Too much fun I’m afraid and the idea of Cinderella’s coach turning back into a pumpkin is a downer but tomorrow is a new day and I just might pick up where I left off. I’ve been in a very girly mood lately and I can see nothing’s going to stop me from expressing it. Tear it up girls or sit through your period.
More to come…
